IMPORTANT NEWS!!! We are sad to say that Rogiena Pierre-Bony is leaving us at the end of the summer to move back to Chicago. She's been here with us for just over 8 years. We are in the thinking & planning stages for good-bye celebrations (one at the end of the school yr & one at Talent Night). Details will be posted when available! Any suggestions and/or help are welcome! Anyone who has anything to share about Rogiena (words, pictures, stories, etc.), please let Ann know by phone or email or stop on by the center. Thanks!! = (
Welcome
Woodside Child Care Center is a private, non-profit organization which has been around for about 40 years. We are licensed by the MD State Dept. of Educ. We provide a safe and enriching after-school program & summer camp for children in grades K-6. Our center is located near downtown Silver Spring on Georgia Avenue at the corner of Ballard St. and housed in Woodside United Methodist Church. Our program emphasizes a wide variety of activities including arts & crafts, sports, games, music, and cooking. We have a full-size gym too! At WCCC, we believe that every child is an individual with feelings, ideas, & interests; and they are treated with respect. We encourage the development of a sense of responsibility & self-reliance in each child. With this philosophy as our backbone, we are able to provide a family feeling here. All of this comes together to serve the needs of children in a friendly, safe, and relaxed environment.
